We have struggled doing our best giving that we have since we started but as the number has continued to grow our ability to help has reduced and this has made our children to be sent home because of school fees arrears and at time they lack stationeries, shoes and uniforms. Our major challenge has been covering the cost of those in high school and especially this year 2016 where we have two boys joining form 1, and one waiting to join University it’s a big challenge.
The house we shelter the children is a rental house and there has been a big challenge paying for it with community help here and there but that is not enough. Currently we have an arrear of $2000 which we fear that soon the home doors will be locked.
The issue of medical cover is one big load we have struggled with and in 2013 we lost one child to sickness. The home does not have sponsors and so we rely on self medication incase a child gets sick, with severe cases taken to district hospitals which does not provide good medical services.
Since the home begun we thank God that He has been faithful that he provided community members who bring us food which has really help the home, the only problem that exist now is the money to buy the actually food like meat, kales etc..The community provides floor, rice and cooking oil.
Together as a team we have done our best since the home begun till now but we need your help to enable this innocent children achieve their full potential in life. We do not discriminate any domination given to us nomater how small.
Together we can make a different if we join hands.
